Empowering Travelers to Make a Difference
Trek Relief started as a personal fundraiser and grew into a nonprofit. An impassioned traveler witnessed a valley damaged by an earthquake in 2016 and started organizing treks to help the survivors and gather support and money.
Now, we encourage and motivate travelers like you to join meaningful adventures that raise funds and make a difference.
We invite you to join us on a journey—as a participant, Trip Leader, or Program Creator.

PATAGONIA: The Free School of Permaculture
$29,818 raised
Trek Relief is currently fundraising to support Alma Verde's beautiful mission to construct a free school to teach permaculture practices. This project aims to build an eco-friendly educational space for sharing ecological, economical, and sustainable living practices, ensuring a healthier planet for future generations.
NEPAL: COVID Pandemic Relief
$27,603 Raised
Even as global travel came to a halt, our passion for making a difference remained strong. In 2021, our Founder, Candice Young, organized an online fundraiser and matched donations to aid in the distribution of hot meals, food stocks, and medical supplies during Nepal's time of greatest need.
LANGTANG VALLEY: Rebuild a School
$134,281 raised
During the 14 treks that we led into the earthquake-stricken valley, we constructed homes and orphanages and completely rubbled and funded the rebuild of a 5-classroom school. Today, Komin Shyamey Wangphel Secondary School stands proudly in Syabrubesi, three years later.
EVEREST: Provide Medical Aid
$61,768 raised
We organized a 2-day health camp and raised funds to purchase medical equipment, including the first dental chair in the region, for the Salyan Primary Healthcare Center and 3 health posts in Solukhumbu, Nepal. Later, we trekked to Everest Base Camp and celebrated our achievements.
