Create an Impactful Program
Turn your passion into a project
Program Creators
At Trek Relief, our Program Creators are the visionaries behind meaningful projects. They harness our platform, tools, and networks to transform their passions into community-benefiting initiatives. We acknowledge their dedicated efforts and have established structures to recognize and reward their valuable contributions.
Qualifications
To be a successful Program Creator at Trek Relief, individuals should possess the following qualifications:
A genuine passion for Trek Relief's mission, including prior participation on a Trek Relief trip to understand our standards and fundraising approaches.
Leadership skills, including the potential to lead trips and train fellow Trip Leaders, based on prior trip leading experience with Trek Relief.
The ability to independently drive projects from conception to realization, demonstrating self-motivation.
Proficiency in collaborating effectively with international partners, valuing diverse cultures, and navigating local dynamics with respect and cultural sensitivity.
Roles & Responsibilities
As a Program Creator/Director at Trek Relief, your roles and responsibilities encompass:
Identify community-declared issues aligned with our nonprofit mission and collaborate with locals to develop sustainable solutions via ongoing project(s) with local nonprofit partners.
Create fundraising opportunities by designing engaging volunteer experiences and attractive local tours, as well as seeking grant/funding opportunities.
Create persuasive campaigns on Trek Relief's platform, effectively conveying program goals with compelling visuals.
Develop informative trip materials for participants, outlining expectations, conditions, packing lists, and other relevant details.
Compensation
To express our appreciation for your commitment to making a positive impact, we offer the following compensation structure:
Per trip, Program Directors receive a base rate of $1,000 plus the remaining profit split 50/50 with the organization as compensation.
For example, a program generates one trip per year with 7 participants contributing $2,900 USD each, for a total of $17,400, with budget allocations of 40% to the charitable project, 20% to admin, and 40% to the tour operator. With a profit of $270 to be split, the Program Director will receive a total of $1,135 as compensation for the trip.
US residents will receive IRS 1099 forms.
Trip Leaders—who may also be Program Directors—can receive up to $2,000 of the trip budget to cover their travel expenses (economical transportation to/from the destination within specified limits).
Project Creation Policy
Programs consist of one or more projects, which allow for volunteering activities and fundraising by trip participants and donors. These projects are created hand-in-hand with local nonprofit partners on-the-ground.
