Next Trip: TBD 2025 | 12 Days
In a world facing economic instability and environmental concerns, renewable energy is key. We invite you to be a part of this transformative journey with Trek Relief’s latest adventure in collaboration with Mundo Sostenible Perú 🌱
This journey takes you to the stunning landscapes of the Sacred Valley in southern Peru, where the beauty of nature meets the warmth of its communities. The Nuestra Energía program aims to transform Latin American communities by installing solar energy systems in vital facilities – orphanages, schools, and shelters. Camping along the trail, you’ll immerse yourself in the beauty of the Andes while directly contributing to a sustainable future for local communities.
Join us on this epic journey and make a lasting impact. Whether you participate, donate, or fundraise, your involvement matters.
Sustainable Energy Access in the Sacred Valley
Mission
Trek Relief is partnering with local organizations to bring clean, renewable energy to the Sacred Valley through the installation of solar power systems for local community shelters in need. You’ll volunteer by installing solar power systems for orphanages, shelters, and schools—helping to bring clean, renewable energy to those in need.
Outdoors, you’ll embark on a multi-day trek through towering Andean peaks, glacial lakes, and ancient Incan trails, leading to the awe-inspiring Machu Picchu. This is unique opportunity to work with local communities and engage in meaningful volunteer work, while exploring some of Peru’s most breathtaking destinations, diverse ecosystems, and rich cultural heritage.
Background
Nestled in the Andes Mountains of Peru, the Sacred Valley is a breathtaking region rich in Incan history, vibrant culture, and stunning landscapes. Home to ancient ruins, traditional villages, and diverse ecosystems, it remains one of Peru’s most treasured destinations. However, many rural communities such as orphanages, schools, clinics, and shelters in the region lack reliable access to affordable energy, limiting opportunities for education, economic growth, and overall well-being.
Access to sustainable energy solutions for these communities not only helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions into the environment, but will allow them to allocate their limited funds towards better learning environments, safer living conditions, and opportunities for growth.
