Exciting progress is underway for Trek Relief’s school rebuild project! With the rubble almost cleared, we’re collaborating closely with our talented Nepalese architect to prepare for the next steps.

This year, we’ve witnessed the power of compassion and collaboration as Trek Relief funds and volunteers helped bring life back to structures devastated by the earthquakes. Each rebuild represents resilience, love, and a commitment to brighter futures.

Exciting progress is underway for our school rebuild project in Syabru Besi, Langtang Valley. Earlier this month, our architect from Kathmandu visited the site to meet with key school officials, community leaders, and the District Education Officer, Shukadev, to align on the next steps.

During our latest trek, an unexpected detour caused by snowfall led us to discover a pressing need—a completely ruined school at the bottom of Langtang Valley, in Syabru Besi, the trek's starting point.

With heartfelt gratitude to our generous supporters, we are excited to share updates on the progress in Langtang Valley. Thanks to your donations, Trek Relief has contributed $15,000 to the Langtang Management Reconstruction Committee (LMRC), empowering the community to rebuild after the devastating 2015 earthquake.

We’re thrilled to share updates from our fundraising beneficiary, the Langtang Management and Reconstruction Committee, as they continue their incredible work to rebuild the Langtang Valley. Their mission is to rehome the Langtangpas and restore their teahouses, enabling them to once again host Himalayan trekkers and regain their livelihoods.
