Trek Through the Himalayas: Nepal, December 4–19, 2025
At Trek Relief, we believe that travel can be a powerful force for good. Our mission to #TravelWithPurpose comes to life in our carefully crafted expeditions, and there's no better example of this than our upcoming Nepal Monastery Project. This isn't just a trek; it's a 16-day journey that combines a hands-on service project with a transformative Himalayan adventure, all while supporting a community-led initiative.
What You Will Experience
The core of this trip is our volunteer work at the Pema T'sal Monastery near Pokhara. In response to a direct request from the community, we will spend three full days assisting with the expansion of a vital health and dental clinic that serves local children and Tibetan refugee families. Our work will involve demolishing walls, rebuilding treatment spaces, and upgrading sanitation facilities. This hands-on project is a tangible way to contribute to long-term health and well-being in the region. The project is designed for impact and is directly aligned with the needs of the community.
The Adventure: Trekking the Sacred Trails of Lower Mustang
Following our service work, the expedition transitions into an unforgettable trek through the Lower Mustang region. This is not a typical tourist route; we will be trekking through ancient pilgrimage trails, sacred villages, and stunning canyon landscapes. The itinerary includes visits to significant sites such as the Guru Sangpo Cave, Tsekong Lake, and the sacred Muktinath temple complex. As we trek, we will also be supporting local communities, including Tibetan refugee families, and any additional funds raised for the project will be used to provide educational supplies to schools along our route.
What's Included: A Worry-Free Experience
We've designed this trip to be as seamless and immersive as possible, covering all essential logistics so you can focus on the experience and the impact you are making. The cost includes a charitable donation to the project, round-trip domestic airfare between Kathmandu and Pokhara, all meals and accommodations, and all ground transportation. You will be guided by an expert English-speaking trek guide and supported by local Sherpa staff. Permits like the Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP) and TIMS card are also covered. International airfare, travel insurance, and personal expenses are not included.
