GivingTuesday 2025: Help Trek Relief Bring Ecological Education to a New School

This Giving Tuesday, December 2, 2025, Trek Relief is launching our most focused campaign yet. Our goal is clear, ambitious, and achievable: to raise $10,000 to completely fund a vital new organic school garden in the village of Puerto Ingeniero Ibáñez, Chile.

Why a Garden? Why Now?

For five years, our Roots of Tomorrow program has demonstrated proven, lasting success at one school by integrating permaculture and environmental education. This year, we are taking that entire five-year model and streamlining its replication at a new school community in just one year. Our vision is to scale this successful model across the entire region.

The $10,000 we raise this Giving Tuesday is dedicated to securing the single most important component of this expansion: the new organic school garden.

Your support will secure a lasting foundation for the community by enabling the replication of:

  • Organic school gardens that teach and feed, while supporting the health of the land and environment.

  • Outdoor classrooms for hands-on environmental education.

This garden is more than just a patch of soil; it is a living classroom that will provide long-term nutrition and essential life skills to the students in Puerto Ingeniero Ibáñez.

Our Credibility: Impact You Can Trust

We understand that trust is the foundation of every donation. Our commitment to community-led projects is backed by a history of successful initiatives and external recognition.

Our work has included successful past initiatives like the Green Hope Garden (Huerta Verde Esperanza), Clean Point Recycling (Punto Limpio), and the Outdoor Classroom (Mi Aula Ambiental). Furthermore, our program has received awards and grant recognition from Patagonia, Inc., demonstrating that the Roots of Tomorrow model is effective, credible, and worthy of your support.

How You Can Help Us Reach the $10,000 Goal

Every donation goes directly to construction materials, local labor, and resources for the new garden in Chile. This is a chance to make a direct, tangible investment in a community's future.
