Meet the Volunteers of Trek Relief: Travel With Purpose, Create Impact
“The most rewarding work I’ve done in life is what I did for free”
At Trek Relief, our programs wouldn’t exist without the incredible volunteers who choose to travel with purpose. From the remote villages of Nepal to the wide-open steppes of Mongolia, our volunteers bring not just their time and energy—but their heart, hope, and humanity.
These are not ordinary trips. Trek Relief volunteers join service learning treks that combine physical adventure with community-led impact work. Whether they’re rebuilding schools damaged by floods in Nepal, installing clean energy systems in Peru, or launching waste-reduction programs in Mongolia, our volunteers step into projects that matter.
Why They Join
Our volunteers come from all walks of life—but they share a desire to make a difference. Some are seeking healing or new purpose. Others want to connect with cultures more deeply than traditional tourism allows. Whatever their reason, they leave forever changed.
“I discovered true fulfillment through giving,” said one volunteer.
The Impact Is Mutual
Each trip blends personal transformation with community benefit. Our teams work hand-in-hand with local leaders, nonprofits, and families to support community-led projects in health, education, and infrastructure. In return, they gain new perspectives, lifelong friendships, and a deeper understanding of our shared humanity.
The impact of our programs is real. Over 91 students now learn in a safe, fully restored school in Kavre. Entire villages in Peru now have access to solar power. Mongolian communities are rethinking waste with new eco-systems in place.
More Than a Trek
These journeys are more than volunteer trips—they’re impact-focused expeditions built on compassion, collaboration, and sustainability. And the stories of our volunteers prove just how meaningful this work can be.
