Water for All: Trek Relief’s Mongolia Volunteer Expedition Begins!
Trek Relief begins an unforgettable 12-day journey across the steppe—and we’re bringing you with us.
Our Water for All: Mongolia 2025 expedition kicks off today in Arkhangai Province, where Trek Relief members will partner with local communities to restore dried-up wells and expand access to clean water for nomadic herding families. These wells are a lifeline for both people and livestock, and the need has only grown with rising drought and environmental change.
Over the next two weeks, our team will travel by horseback and ATV, camp beneath the stars, and live in close connection with the land and the families who have called it home for generations. This is not just travel—it’s purposeful service grounded in mutual exchange, cultural respect, and community resilience.
Why This Trek Matters
In Arkhangai, traditional herding communities are facing water shortages that threaten their way of life. By supporting local partners and contributing hands-on labor, this expedition helps build climate resilience from the ground up.
Our volunteers aren’t just trekking—they’re part of something bigger. They’re restoring vital infrastructure, supporting intergenerational knowledge, and showing what ethical travel can look like in practice.
