Wendy Meek Trek Relief

We’re thrilled to announce some wonderful updates to our leadership team. Trek Relief alum Wendy Meek, who joined us on a transformative Nepal program, is stepping into the role of Board Secretary, while Steven Wong transitions to lead our Board Outreach efforts.

Wendy Meek: From Volunteer to Board Secretary

Wendy’s experience with Trek Relief has been nothing short of transformative. Reflecting on her journey, Wendy shared:

"My experience as a Trek Relief volunteer has been a transformative one. This organization has shown me it is possible to unite with others across international borders to provide basic infrastructure and aid in the most geographically isolated regions of the world. It has been a rare gift to travel in a way that gives back to local communities and fortifies international friendships. This experience has also instilled in me a responsibility to protect the beauty and natural resources of the world through conscious, sustainable travel. I am aligned with Trek Relief’s mission to ‘travel with purpose’; it perfectly integrates my passion for travel with my desire to be a force for positive change in the world."

Wendy’s dedication to Trek Relief’s mission and her passion for sustainable travel make her an incredible fit for this leadership role. We’re honored to have her bring her insights and enthusiasm to the Board.

As Steven transitions to focus on Board Outreach, we’re excited about the opportunities his role will create to expand Trek Relief’s community and impact. Steven’s time as Board Secretary laid a strong foundation, and we’re eager to see the connections and collaborations he will foster in this new capacity.

Building a Stronger Future Together

The growth of our Board reflects the strength of Trek Relief’s mission and the incredible people who make it possible. Wendy and Steven’s contributions exemplify the power of collaboration and shared purpose.

Thank you to everyone who supports Trek Relief as we continue to grow and create meaningful change across the globe.
