Covid Relief Fundraiser: WE DID IT!
The Covid-19 pandemic has touched every corner of the globe, and Trek Relief was no exception. While our ability to engage directly with global communities has been limited, our mission to create meaningful change has remained steadfast.
In June 2021, we embarked on our most impactful effort yet: the Emergency Covid Relief Fundraiser for Nepal. Partnering with The Small World Nepal, a remarkable Nepalese nonprofit, we set out to raise $50,000 to provide critical support during these challenging times.
Surpassing Our Goal: The Power of Community
Thanks to the incredible kindness and generosity of 118 donors, we raised an astounding $25,728, surpassing our original goal of $25,000! The outpouring of donations, shares, and uplifting messages from our Trek Relief community has been nothing short of inspiring.
Through this wave of support, we’ve been reminded of the profound connection, compassion, and humanity that bind us all. We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to this effort—you’ve made a tangible difference in countless lives.
Where Your Donations Are Making an Impact
Your generosity has already begun creating positive change. The funds raised are being distributed by The Small World Nepal in two phases, with the first phase achieving the following milestones:
5,000 people provided with Dhal Bhat packed lunches
300 families received 25-day care packages including rice, lentils, oil, and salt
8,000 face masks and sanitizers distributed
These efforts are directly supporting families and individuals in need, offering not just immediate relief but hope for a brighter future.
