First Patagonia Trip: Inaugurating Our Sustainable Community Development Program

Trek Relief Patagonia

As Chile moved to limit international travel with a state of emergency, we successfully completed our first Patagonia trip and officially launched the Sustainable Community Development Program in the Aysén region.

A Milestone for Sustainability

Patagonia Trek Relief Project

Our inaugural project, the first of five recyclable waste centers, is now up and running at the Liceo Rural School in Villa Cerro Castillo. This “Green Point” serves as a centralized hub for the entire community, providing space to collect and store seven types of recyclable materials for transport and processing in the region’s capital.

Our incredible partners at Kyklos will lead ongoing educational programming for students, ensuring that the center becomes a living part of the community’s commitment to sustainability.

Gratitude for Our Team and Supporters

This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without the invaluable contributions of our:

  • Trekkers and Donors: Your dedication turned this dream into a reality.

  • Architect Tomás Rodriguez Goren: For designing a thoughtful and functional structure.

  • School Custodians: For bringing the design to life with skill and care.

Together, we’ve taken an important step toward creating a more sustainable future for the Aysén region.

As we celebrate the launch of this new program, we’re reminded of the collective power of partnerships and community-driven efforts. Thank you to everyone who joined us on this journey. Your support ensures that we can continue building a better future—one project at a time.
