We’re excited to share that the Langtang Valley school rebuild project is nearing completion! After three years of dedication and perseverance, we’re on track to finish the school just in time for our 14th and final trip to Langtang Valley, where we’ll celebrate the official handover.

Trek Relief’s Langtang Trip 11 has wrapped up, leaving behind a legacy of progress, learning, and environmental stewardship. Each trip deepens our connection to the Langtang Valley, and this time was no different—our volunteers and community members achieved incredible milestones together.

We’re thrilled to announce that Phase I of the Komin Shyamey Wangphel Secondary School rebuild has officially begun at the gateway of Langtang Valley! This milestone marks a significant step forward in creating a safe and empowering learning environment for the community.

During our latest trek, an unexpected detour caused by snowfall led us to discover a pressing need—a completely ruined school at the bottom of Langtang Valley, in Syabru Besi, the trek's starting point.

With heartfelt gratitude to our generous supporters, we are excited to share updates on the progress in Langtang Valley. Thanks to your donations, Trek Relief has contributed $15,000 to the Langtang Management Reconstruction Committee (LMRC), empowering the community to rebuild after the devastating 2015 earthquake.

We’re thrilled to share updates from our fundraising beneficiary, the Langtang Management and Reconstruction Committee, as they continue their incredible work to rebuild the Langtang Valley. Their mission is to rehome the Langtangpas and restore their teahouses, enabling them to once again host Himalayan trekkers and regain their livelihoods.
