Help Build the Free School of Permaculture: A Path to Sustainability

We’re thrilled to introduce our fiscally sponsored special project: La Escuela Libre de Permacultura (The Free School of Permaculture) at Alma Verde in Patagonia, Chile.

Since 2016, Alma Verde has been a beacon of ecological living, sharing a regenerative way of life with thousands of visitors. This inspiring farmstead—a cornerstone of Trek Relief’s Patagonia trips since the program’s start—has become a highlight for participants, offering a firsthand experience of a zero-waste, nature-aligned lifestyle.

In today’s global context, the principles of permaculture and sustainable living are no longer optional—they are essential. That’s why we’re dedicated to democratizing this knowledge, making it accessible to everyone, regardless of economic or geographical limitations.

To make this vision a reality, they’re creating a shared community space: a free, hands-on learning center in the rural countryside of Chilean Patagonia.

This space will:

  • Welcome educators and visitors to share and grow their knowledge together.

  • Serve as an open resource for learning sustainable practices that benefit communities and the planet.

Empower people in Patagonia and beyond to live harmoniously with nature.

How You Can Help

We can’t do this alone. To bring this dream to life, we’re asking for your support. Every contribution will:

  • Enable the bio-construction and furnishing of this community center.

  • Equip the space with tools and resources for hands-on learning.

  • Empower locals to adopt regenerative practices that ensure a healthier planet, starting with the stewardship of pristine Patagonia.

Your generosity will help us reach thousands of individuals, fostering a brighter, more sustainable future for Patagonia and the world.

By supporting La Escuela Libre, you’re not just building a school—you’re building a movement. Together, we can expand the reach of permaculture, inspiring communities to live sustainably and thrive in harmony with nature.

Thank you for believing in this vision. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a tangible impact. Let’s work together to plant the seeds of a better tomorrow.

From all of us at Trek Relief and Alma Verde, thank you for being part of this journey. 🌱
