Langtang Valley School Update: Nearing the Finish Line
We’re excited to share that the Langtang Valley school rebuild project is nearing completion! After three years of dedication and perseverance, we’re on track to finish the school just in time for our 14th and final trip to Langtang Valley, where we’ll celebrate the official handover.
A Journey of Resilience and Collaboration
This $50,000 project has been a labor of love, overcoming challenges that come with managing construction in a developing country. From navigating time zones and language barriers to adapting to political changes and collaborating with diverse personalities, this project has tested our resolve. Yet, thanks to the goodwill and determination of our compassionate trekkers, we’ve accomplished something extraordinary.
The latest milestone is the addition of rebar for the roof structure, which is being hand-carried from the road to the school site—an incredible testament to the teamwork and effort behind this project.
What started as a shared dream is now becoming a tangible reality. This school rebuild represents more than bricks and mortar; it embodies the collective spirit of everyone involved and the promise of a brighter future for the Langtang Valley community.
Looking Ahead
As we prepare for the final trip to Langtang Valley, we’re filled with gratitude for everyone who has supported this journey. Together, we’ve built not just a school but also hope and opportunity for generations to come.
Stay tuned for updates as we celebrate this incredible milestone. Thank you for being part of this remarkable story!
