Delivering Hope to Nepal: Everest Medical Project Raises $22,000 for Healthcare

The Everest Medical Project achieved an extraordinary milestone, raising and delivering over $22,000 worth of medical supplies and equipment to Solukhumbu, Nepal. Thanks to the dedication of our 24 volunteers, this effort is making a lasting impact on rural healthcare in the region.

A Lifeline for Solukhumbu’s Healthcare

What began as an ambitious fundraising goal turned into an incredible achievement. The funds raised exceeded expectations, allowing us to support not only the Salyan Primary Healthcare Center (PHC) but also three neighboring health posts.

Our team purchased and delivered vital medical equipment and supplies, including:

  • 4 glucometers

  • 4 fetal dopplers

  • 1 patient monitor

  • 1 baby warmer

  • 3 oxygen concentrators

  • 3 nebulizers

  • 6 pulse oximeters

  • 2 otoscopes

  • 3 blood pressure sets

  • 3 weight machines

  • 3 autoclaves

  • 1 dental chair and 1 dental X-ray machine

  • A generous resupply of medicines

These contributions are helping to transform healthcare delivery in this mountainous region, providing critical resources that were previously unavailable.

Medical Support in Action

During the project, our volunteers provided on-site medical support at a health camp in a rural village, offering care to locals who often lack access to adequate healthcare. The program culminated in a trek to Everest Base Camp, blending service with adventure.

Dr. Bimlesh Shah, head of Salyan PHC, shared his heartfelt gratitude for the team's efforts, saying:
"Your contribution has brought hope and improved healthcare access for our community. We are forever thankful."

Access to healthcare in remote areas like Solukhumbu is limited, and this project bridges a critical gap. By delivering advanced medical equipment, we’re enabling local health centers to better serve their communities and save lives.
